The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is the leading professional society for the field of aerospace engineering. It works to advance the arts, sciences, and technology of aeronautics and astronautics.

AIAA was formed in 1963 by the merger of two predecessor organizations. Read more about the history of AIAA.

Linda Hall Library houses an extensive archival collection of papers from AIAA meetings and conferences, many of which have been held regularly over a period of several years, as well as papers published in AIAA journals.  The library also has AIAA books and standards in its collections.

Please note that while some AIAA publications and papers are listed in the library's online catalog, many more are not yet included there.  Please contact Linda Hall Library Reference Services via phone or e-mail for assistance with identifying and locating a particular AIAA paper or other AIAA publication.  Also see the next page of this guide for more information about searching for AIAA papers.   Copies of papers can be ordered through the library's Document Delivery Services.
