Overview

The history of electrical engineering conventionally concentrates on the origin and development of electric energy production, distribution and applications (motors, lighting, etc.) with the exclusion of electronics. The historical record starts in he first half of the nineteenth century with the work of scientists and experimenters, such as Faraday, and continues to the present.
