Getting Started at the Library: Library Services

Using the library's resources and collections

Wi-Fi Access

The library provides Wi-Fi access.  When selecting a network connection, choose LHL Guest from the available list.

Copiers and Scanners

In the the Main Reading Room (MRR), the library provides:

  • Four computer workstations with internet access
  • A self-service photocopier
  • A machine for viewing and printing from microfilm/microfiche
  • Two self-service scanners, which can send documents to an email address, or save to a zip drive or Dropbox account

Please ask staff at the Reference Desk for any assistance needed with using the equipment, or if there are issues with the computers.

Patrons assume the responsibility of complying with U.S. Copyright Law.

Study Areas

In addition to the tables in the Main Reading Room (MRR) there is table and cubby seating on the 2nd Floor.

We also have two small study rooms available on a first-come, first-served basis. LHL attempts to keep the MRR quiet for study purposes; if you need an area for discussion, please use a study room so as not to disturb or disrupt other patrons using the library.

Please do not leave your personal items unattended when visiting the library.

Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
