Philosophy of Science: Electronic Search Tools

The purposes of this guide are to: 1) assist with research on a particular subject and 2) to help identify possible research subjects for essays, reports, dissertations, etc.

Major Philosophy Finding Aids

The web pages of several journals on the philosophy of science offer free summaries of their articles and the means to efficiently search through them according to topic, author, and other categories. This provides a very productive method for finding references on current subjects and trends. While, in most cases, you will not be able to link directly to the articles, Linda Hall Library has these journals available in print. The list below includes some of the most important titles in English that offer this service. Additionally, The History of Science, Technology, and Medicine Database is an excellent index to relevant publications.
